Throughout the entirety of human civilization, sports, business, and pop-culture have been fueled by rivalries. At their core, they satisfy a deep-seated psychological need for community, social identity, and fuel a "us-vs.-them" mentality. Oxford Academy is no exception. Whether it be OA vs. the "school who shall not be named" or the battle to be Mr. Sherwin's favorite student, OA is certainly no stranger to deep-seated competition. No rivalry, however, brews deeper or more passionately than the one between the coveted OA academic institutions of FBLA and HOSA.

Biotech's HOSA and Business's FBLA: this age-old battle is an honored tradition that rings as deep as the likes of Superman vs. Batman or Michigan vs. Ohio State. In the midst of 2026's rivalry craze, OATV has decided to pick up a reality docuseries titled "Heated CTSO's" following the heated rivalry of HOSA vs. FBLA—a high-stakes standoff between pre-med student and aspiring venture capitalist, set to release on April 1, 2026.

The show follows OA FBLA & HOSA's Lyon Linkedenev and Marine Medicc as they fight for ultimate dominance over the OA ICC field. In an unexpected turn of events, these two bitter rivals find solace in one another, developing a deep, budding connection. This intensely-heated enemies-to-lovers whirlwind tale is taking OA by storm, as the tension, passion, and 'forbidden' nature overtakes screens.

The novelty of this narrative truly lies within the rivalries' familiarity with audiences' and the complex, shocking relationship dynamics. Both organizations are integral to the Oxford Academy's experience. The question of "Are you a HOSA or FBLA kid?" has been an inevitable debate each OA student has asked themselves. HOSA and FBLA are mortal rivals, and it's well known that the paths of business and medicine may never cross (except for during Healthcare Administration-related events). It's a rivalry that tears apart friends, family, and values, as no one can be friends in this ICC bloodbath.

OA HOSA, while younger than the business organization, has utilized its fun and modern nature to grow quickly in the past two decades, becoming a worthy opponent to the more stern and serious business organization. Both are some of the finest chapters of their respective organizations in the state. Though publicly these two organizations view other schools as their greatest enemies, OA HOSA and FBLA sweep competitors clean every year, leaving their only real levelable rival to be one another.

Linkenev and Meddic personify this rivalry. Every board member who's ever participated in club rush knows the drama, the feeling of having to dodge the other organization's instagram frame, and the betrayal of seeing friends end up on the other's recap post-as one scene in the trailer similarly depicts. As two of the top representatives of their respective organizations, Linkedenev and Meddic, are constantly having to hide their relationship behind closed doors: stolen glances across ICC meetings, coded text messages, and of course, a front as indignant public enemies.

"I'm really excited to see where this show goes, it's truly been so startling and captivating so far," said HOSA president Shade Neurology.

"I really liked the part where they were battling for use of the MPR for their guest speakers, " said Shalie Dividends , "It's just like my life…in a way."

With just a trailer, storyline, and promise of drama, fans are already ecstatic in anticipation for the release of Heated CTSO's. Whether it be the understood history of the rivalry or just pure intrigue from the trailer, one thing is already clear; Heated CTSO's will be a rivalry for decades.
